4 simple ways to save your blogging time - [ Website - Blogging ]

I had to become hyper aware of my time-wasting activities to move into effective, intelligent blogging actions.
Most bloggers do a poor job managing their time. From hanging with the wrong folks to not engaging in leveraging actions to trying to multi task, the average blogger usually falls prey to these common, time-wasting errors.
Earlier today I thought of how quickly I popped in and out of my emails. I spoke to a potential client in minutes. I let go a few non matches within seconds. Ditto with my speed and efficiency in checking Facebook messages and all of my social media replies.
If you do save your blogging time you will:
  • drive more traffic to your blog
  • boost your blogging profits
  • enjoy your offline life
Being free has always been my prime driver. By saving my time blogging-wise I have more time to spend offline, enjoying my world travels.
Follow these tips to save your blogging time.

1: Release Tire Kickers

Release tire kickers to save your time. Don’t get caught up with bloggers or readers who complain about their failures or who blame other people for their failures.
If you waste your time on non matches you will spend hours a day trying to communicate to folks who will not hear your message.
Field emails with discipline. Spend no more than 10 seconds on emails from non matching bloggers or readers.
Spend no time trying to convince or persuade potential clients to hire you. The good matches will hire you without any convincing on your part.

2: Leverage

Master the concept of leveraging to save your time.
  • guest post on top blogs from your niche
  • comment on top blogs from your niche
Engaging in each activity helps you reach a maximum number of targeted readers in as little time as possible.
Example; I am writing and publishing this guest post on Blogging Tips to leverage my presence quickly. I have a 60,000 member blog community between my social media accounts and email list. If I guest post here I am leveraging my presence, reaching an even bigger community in minimal time.

3: Poll Your Readers to Write Problem-Solving Posts

Instead of wasting your time by writing whatever thoughts come to mind devote your blogging time to solving your reader’s specific problems. Stop throwing darts at a board. Poll your readers or ask them what they are struggling with via your:
  • blog
  • email newsletter
  • social media profiles
Ask readers about their most pressing problems. Record their answers. Publish in-depth, helpful, practical tips laden blog posts to solve their problems and to save your time.
My biggest time wasting activity as a blogger was shooting from the blogging hip, publishing posts that were not specifically requested by my readers. Now I ask readers before publishing posts. Or I spot specific problems in the blogging tips niche which readers and commentors on top blogs seem to be complaining about.

4: Never Multi Task

Never ever multi task.
Struggling bloggers often try to do a few things simultaneously. But this is impossible. You can only do one thing at a time. Where your attention and energy goes, grows, meaning you only do a poor job in a few areas versus doing a good job in one area.
Devote your full attention and energy to one job at a time. Save time. Blog effectively.
